SCC joins state-wide network to take on top issue facing Missouri businesses

St. Charles County leaders joined St. Charles Community College March 14 at RK Stratman, Inc., to sign a proclamation affirming the college’s role in the new Missouri Community College Workforce Development Network and its ongoing commitment to its workforce partners. SCC purchased One Academy Place allowing for new and expanded programming

St. Charles Community College made history when the college closed on One Academy Place in Dardenne Prairie last week. This property will serve as the college’s first satellite location, and its initial intent will be to expand Nursing and Allied Health offerings and develop additional workforce and industry programs. The 69,000-square-foot building was the former site of Barat Academy. SCC college STEM efforts recognized

SCC and OPO Startups form partnership

St. Charles Community College has joined forces with OPO Startups as a sponsor to bring its students and alumni access to the co-working center from noon-8 p.m. on Wednesdays. Barbara R. Kavalier, Ph.D., named fourth president of St. Charles Community College

The St. Charles Community College Board of Trustees has named Barbara R. Kavalier, Ph.D., district president of Narvarro College in Corsicana, Tex., as the next president of St. Charles Community College.  She will take the helm of Missouri’s fourth largest community college district Aug. 10, following the service of Ron Chesbrough, Ph.D., who accepted the presidency at Cazenovia College in New York state earlier this year. The St. Charles Community College Board of Trustees has named four finalists in the search for the institution’s next president. SCC receives national awards for marketing and communications

St. Charles Community College received five national-level Paragon awards from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR), an affiliate council of the American Association of Community Colleges. The SCC Department of Marketing and Communications took home a Gold Paragon in the Poster, Division B, category for the Rhinoceros play poster.
