MoHealthWINs grant changes lives

In January 2014, Ashley Thompson was unemployed with a toddler at home. Department of Higher Education considers MCCA A+ Program Recommendations

It’s no secret that the A+ program and most importantly our students have faced financial uncertainty over the last year.  What is certain, though, is that something has to change for our state to keep the A+ promise made to thousands of Missouri students.  MCCA is working to achieve that change. ECC Receives Accreditation from National Association of Schools of Art and Design

East Central College recently earned accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.   “NASAD accreditation represents another huge step forward as the college continues to enhance our programs and seek external recognition of the quality that we provide,” stated Dr. Jon Bauer, ECC president.   Founded in 1944, NASAD is an organization of schools, colleges and universities. ECC Dedicates Donald D. Shook Student Center

As a part of the 45th annual spring commencement May 16, East Central College renamed the Multipurpose Building the Donald D. Shook Student Center. In March of this year ECC trustees voted to rename the building to honor Shook for his significant, lasting and measurable impact on the college. Senator Roy Blunt Delivers Commencement Address at North Central Missouri College

Commencement exercises for graduates of North Central Missouri College in Trenton were held on Saturday, May 9 at the Ketcham Community Center. The Honorable Roy Blunt, United States Senator, was the Commencement Speaker for the morning ceremony.  Building on a background as a public servant, university president, and teacher, United States Senator Roy Blunt was elected to the United States Senate in 2010. ECC to Purchase Facility Near Union Campus

East Central College trustees gave authorization Monday, April 13, to purchase a building near campus to house several of its career and technical programs. The board approved purchasing the former Gala Center, located southeast of the main campus in Union. The Precision Machining and Industrial Engineering Technology programs currently housed at Four Rivers Career Center in Washington will be relocated to the new facility, as well as the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning program now located on the main campus.
