Narrow the higher education funding gap
We educate 36 percent of students pursuing degrees at Missouri’s public higher education institutions, but only receive 15 percent of higher education funding.
In addition to our for-credit student population, we also train more than 100,000 in non-credit programs like welding, machining and transportation and logistics. These programs are vital to providing a workforce for Missouri’s economy, but the equipment and technology required represents a significant expense.
To maintain a growing economy and keep higher education affordable for our students, it’s crucial that we narrow the funding gap between Missouri’s public 2-year and 4-year institutions.
